Science of Learning

The data set generated by this project represents the collaborative efforts of researchers at the University of Melbourne, the University of Queensland, and the Australian Council for Educational Research to investigate a wide variety of phenomena within the growing field of educational neuroscience. The importance of the data set arises from the capacity of the Science of Learning Classroom to document student learning activity in complex social settings at a level of detail not previously possible anywhere in the world. Simultaneous use of up to 16 video channels supplemented by high quality multi-channel audio will generate one of the most detailed documentations of classroom learning ever attempted. Meticulous meta-data tagging will ensure that the complex data set is searchable and manipulable for the purposes of multiple parallel analyses.
